I worked for the Post Office for a number of years, both in a customer facing role and then within the accounts department at head office in Birmingham.
I found that dealing with the pressures of accounts and Inland Revenue was very satisfying and enjoyable so I decided to take formal qualifications in bookkeeping and self-assessment.
Gaining theses qualifications enabled me to assist my husband’s business and take responsibility for the accounts, including VAT.
In addition to my own business I have volunteered for the Regional Driving Assessment Centre implementing the finance department structure, and undertaking their bookkeeping.
